Enrico Belli (1875-1907) was an Italian painter and draughtsman who specialised in portraiture, and history and genre paintings. He exhibited in London at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of London, and the Suffolk Street Gallery between 1862-1884. It is also mentioned Belli showed in Barcelona and Paris. Even though Enrico lived a short life of thirty-two years, he left behind an admired body of work.
Enrico Belli’s portrait ‘Head of a Man with Amour’ is a painting of bearded gentleman portraying a knight wearing amour from the middle ages. Possibly a head study for one of his history paintings.
