Richard Stone

Elected Fellow of the Royal British Society of Sculptors, Richard Stone is a London based multi-media artist who received an MA from Central Saint Martins. He is represented by galleries in the UK and Austria, and his works can be found in collections in the UK, Europe and the United States.

He is currently included in the museum exhibition Nature Morte, curated by Michael Petry, based on the Thames & Hudson book of the same name. Having already toured to Norway, 2015, Sweden, 2016 and Poland, February - May 2017, it returns to the Guildhall Art Gallery in London, September 2017 - January 2018.

In The Shade of the Magnolias was cast and reconfigured in Italy from twelve parts over four months, at the world-renowned Fonderia Mariani during a tenure supported by the Royal British Society and Brian Mercer Charitable Trust. In addition to the main body of the sculpture, it also includes a fallen petal floor element. Simultaneously figurative and abstract, Other Windows for Other Souls was carved in carrara marble from Pietrasanta, Italy.
