How do I book an art class at Sunny Art Centre?
Buy a course package first, then book individual classes through your online student account and timetable. Once enrolled, you log in, pick the sessions you want and confirm your place. Enrolment is rolling, so you can start at any time without waiting for a new term to begin.
Can I choose a different class time each week?
Yes. With our flexible timetable you can book a different day or time each week, subject to availability. You select your sessions in your online student account from the times currently open, which is ideal if your schedule changes week to week. We offer weekday, evening and weekend options, varying by medium and tutor.
Do I need a confirmed booking, or can I just turn up?
You need a confirmed booking for every class — turning up without one does not guarantee a place. Group classes hold a maximum of 10 students, so spaces are limited and allocated to students who have booked online in advance. Always reserve your seat through your student account before you travel to the studio.
What is your cancellation policy?
Give at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or change a class and your lesson credit is returned to your account to use another time. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice, or classes missed without notice, may lose the credit. You can cancel or reschedule directly in your online student account.
What happens if I miss a class or cancel at the last minute?
Late cancellations and missed lessons may forfeit the lesson credit for that session. The 48-hour notice window exists so we can offer your place to another student, so please cancel as early as you can. If you are affected by genuinely exceptional circumstances, contact the office and we will consider your situation case by case.
How do I reschedule or change my class to another day?
Cancel the booked session at least 48 hours in advance and your credit returns to your account, then rebook a new time that suits you. As long as you stay inside the 48-hour window, changing your class is free and you simply choose any available slot. Rescheduling is done entirely through your online student timetable.
Can I get a refund if I miss an art class?
If you cancel a class at least 48 hours ahead, the lesson credit is returned to your account so you can rebook — there is no lost value. Classes cancelled late or missed without notice may lose that credit. For questions about monetary refunds on a package, please contact the office, as terms depend on the package you bought.
Do my class credits expire?
Yes — each package has a validity period, and the expiry date is stated to you at enrolment. The length depends on which course package you buy, so check the terms before purchasing. Your remaining credits and their expiry are visible in your online student account.
Can I freeze or extend my class credits?
Freezes and extensions are considered case by case for exceptional circumstances, such as illness or travel — they are not automatic. If you cannot use your credits before they expire, contact the office as early as possible to discuss your options. Whether an extension is possible depends on your individual circumstances and package.
Can I share my classes or credits with family or a sibling?
It depends on the package — some allow family or sibling sharing, while others are registered to one named student only. Always confirm whether sharing is permitted before you buy, so the package matches how you intend to use it. If you are unsure, ask the office or book a free studio consultation.
Do I have to buy a course package, or can I pay per class?
Classes are booked from a course package: you buy the package first, then book individual sessions from your credit balance via the online timetable. This package-plus-credit system lets you spread your classes flexibly over the validity period. To discuss which package suits you, you can book a free consultation at the studio.
Do I need to wait for a new term to start before I can book?
No — Sunny Art Centre uses rolling, flexible enrolment, so you can join at any time. There is no fixed term you must wait for; once you have a package, you book classes whenever spaces are available. This makes it easy to start as soon as you are ready.
I'm a complete beginner — can I still book a class?
Yes — complete beginners are welcome and no experience, talent or pre-made artwork is needed. Classes use personalised study plans, so each student works at their own pace and level, and mixed-ability students share the same room. Drawing and painting are popular starting points, but you are welcome in any medium we teach.
How long is each class?
Most group lessons last around two hours. Private and bespoke sessions vary in length depending on what you book. Your exact session times are shown when you book in your online student account.
How many students are in a group class?
Group classes have a maximum of 10 students. The small class size means your professional artist tutor can give individual demonstrations and feedback during the lesson. Because places are capped, booking ahead is essential to secure your seat.
Can I book a free consultation before I enrol?
Yes — a free studio consultation is available so you can discuss courses, packages and the right starting point before committing. It is a useful first step if you are unsure which medium or package suits you. You can request your free consultation on our consultation page.
Can I book private one-to-one art lessons?
Yes — we offer private 1-to-1 tuition and bespoke intensive programmes tailored to your goals and chosen medium. Durations vary, and your tutor builds the sessions around your level and project. Private lessons are booked through the studio; see our one-to-one classes page for details.
Can I book classes for my child or teenager?
Yes — we run regular children's and teens' classes, school-holiday programmes and individual tuition. If you are booking for an under-16, please contact the office before enrolling them on an adult course so we can place them appropriately. See our children's and teens' classes page for current options.
