We collaborate with the most cutting-edge universities and fine arts colleges in China to deliver large, national and international talks and exhibitions for the majority of the artists we represent. This cultural exchange among renown scholars provides artists with the academic support from institutions in the Eastern markets. Sunny Art Centre’s vision is centred around large-scale and intercontinental promotion. Therefore, we not only collaborate with Eastern national institutions such as museums and galleries but with academic institutions as well. This gives our artists the ability to fully access new markets by establishing connections with the Eastern art world as a whole.
Our most recent conference provided our jewellery artists and design-makers with a platform to introduce their ideas, concepts and artworks to some of the largest academic audiences in China. In particular, our head curator Mr Yinjie Sun delivered a lecture in the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing (www.cafa.edu.cn) who is collaborating with us in order to provide national conferences such as our recent ‘Britain’s 100 Years of Woman Jewellery’. During these events, artists currently in our permanent collection delivered a survey of their practice and history of their art and craftsmanship.
