Landscape painting/drawing workshop at Hampstead Heath Park (10:00 am – 4:30pm Saturday 19th July 2014)

This workshop is in Hampstead Heath Park.  Hampstead Heath (locally known as "the Heath") is a large, ancient London park, covering 320 hectares (790 acres).This grassy public space sits astride a sandy ridge, one of the highest points in London, running from Hampstead to Highgate, which rests on a band of London Clay. The Heath is rambling and hilly, embracing ponds, recent and ancient woodlands, a lido, playgrounds, and a training track, and it adjoins the stately home of Kenwood House and its grounds. The south-east part of the Heath is Parliament Hill, from which the view over London is protected by law.  It is a special opportunity for you to create art in the nature and to appreciate art in your daily life.

The essentials of painting, design, value structure, color and exquisite paint quality will be the focus of this workshop. The workshop is open to all skill levels and styles. The main focus is on oil painting, Watercolour and Acrylic, however all media are welcome.

The goal will be for students to complete one painting  or drawing druing this workshop. Students will try to use art materials to rapidly capture a landscape's mood, atmosphere and colors in the plein air tradition.

Materials
You will need to provide your own drawing or painting materials for the workshops. There will be no materials on site. If you are unsure about what materials you need, you can take a look at our online shop for suggestions, or contact us for more information or further enquires.

When and where to meet?
We will meet at 10am on Saturday at the Hampstead Station( Northern line).  The morning session will start from 10am to 1pm,  and afternoon session will start from 2pm. The class will finish at 4:30pm.

Lunch
For lunch, please bring your own food and drinks. However, we encourage our students to bring at least 1 type of food and drink to share in a class picnic for those who would like to participate.

Price
If you are already a SAC registered student, you can attend this workshop for the price of 2 classes. If you have sufficient credit in your account, 2 classes will be deducted from it. If you have insufficient credit or you are a new student, you can either purchase a block of  lessons in accordance our standard price plan or make a one-off  payment of £49.00/person – Click here to make the payment.
