Yinjie Sun’s solo show “Lost in Myths″ at the Asian House, London
Lost in Myths ---Paintings by Yinjie Sun
Yinjie Sun is one of the most renowned Chinese artists of his generation, he holds Master's degree from Chelsea College of Art and Bachelor’s degrees from both China Academy of Art and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Yinjie focuses on the religions and beliefs and their impact on the everyday existence and Chinese literature. He uses a vocabulary that global audiences are able to understand in the context of ancient Chinese Philosophy. And tends to focus on some of the most unexpected objects as models for his work, trying to reflect the problems of the society. This exhibition is not only an anatomy of Yinjie’s path of amalgamation of the two different cultures, but also a vivid reflection of Chinese culture over the past 30 years.
