Perfume Burner Tripod, China – Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)

 

Measurements: H. 52 cm (excluding base) Total H. 63.5 cm

Condition: Base pierced in two places, one handle glued with pewter

Perfume Burner with decorations on two registers of archaic dragons and Taotie masks. The base decorated with heads of Fô dogs. The openwork cover with foliage and topped with a Fô dog resting its paw on a ball of patinated bronze brocade, with its moulded and carved wooden base.
