01 — In the life room
Life Drawing & Painting

Our new Life Drawing & Painting sessions are under way — designed for artists who want to develop strong observational skills through direct study from the human figure. Working from a professional life model in a focused studio environment, students explore proportion and anatomy, gesture and confident line, tonal observation, light and spatial depth, and the foundations of figurative painting.
Every Tuesday, 6:30–8:30pm

All materials are included and every student receives a Certificate of Completion.

Welcome, Asmaa Elbaz

We are delighted to welcome Asmaa Elbaz to the teaching team. Asmaa is an award-winning architect, computational designer and architectural educator — recognised as one of the youngest architects to join Foster + Partners. Her work explores the intersection of architecture, technology, environmental performance and human experience.
Alongside professional practice, she has served as Architectural Design Fellow at IE University FabLab (Segovia & Madrid) and Design Studio Lead at UCL Bartlett School of Architecture. At Sunny Art Centre, Asmaa supports students preparing architecture portfolios for competitive university applications, helping them transform creative ideas into clear and compelling visual work.
04 — Student spotlight
Emily Camp

We are delighted to feature a figure drawing currently being developed by our student Emily Camp — carefully observing the structure of the body and gradually refining the tonal relationships across the form. At this stage, attention is on the subtle shifts between light and shadow, allowing the figure to emerge with convincing volume and presence.
By studying the human form directly from observation, artists learn proportion, anatomy, and the rhythm of movement within the body.
05 — For families
Sunday kids class with Ilaria Mazzocchi

We’re happy to announce that Ilaria’s Sunday Kids Art Class has returned and now runs every week, Sundays 11:30am–1:30pm. Young students develop strong artistic foundations — observational drawing, colour mixing and brush techniques, composition and creative confidence — in a friendly studio environment.
Ilaria Mazzocchi is a professional artist and experienced art educator trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where she graduated with top honours, later achieving Qualified Teacher Status in Fine Art with a final grade of 99/100. Her practice spans painting, printmaking, ceramics and stained glass, with collaborations including Studio Spirali Glass, Arte Romana and Leading Light of London.
With warm wishes from Covent Garden,
